Why go camping in Brittany? #activities

As we all know, campsites often offer a lot of activities for holidaymakers, and Brittany is no exception. From water sports to hiking and horse riding, from leisure parks to zoos, Brittany has it all.

Boating

Did you know that in Brittany more than 300 campsites are located near a lake or a river? If you add the fact that two thirds of the campsites are close to the sea, you will have understood that the vast majority of Breton campsites have quick access to water, fresh or salt, living or dormant and even sometimes stagnant.

Between the Atlantic Ocean, the Channel, rivers and streams, lakes, ponds and marshes, your campsite is bound to be within a few kilometers of a water sports activity. Why not take advantage of this?

In Brittany, water activities are plentiful: sailing, sea or river canoeing, stand-up paddling... But also surfing (many surf schools are there to guide your first steps... or rather your first waves) and scuba diving.

It is also possible to practice new water activities. Do you know the Wing Foil (kite of the sea), the paddle stepper (a paddle with handlebars), the coasteering (canyoning adapted to the coast and the sea), the Wave-ski (kayak of the waves) or the Kneeboard (water ski cableway)?

On the beach, try the Char à Voile!

Hiking and fresh air

Wherever you choose to camp in Brittany, there is bound to be a wonderful hike to enjoy the fresh air of the region.

Brittany is full of hiking trails, for a day or afternoon of discovery and fresh air. Take a breath of fresh air from the customs path to the wild ridges of the Armorique Regional Nature Park, in the heart of the Monts d'Arrée. There is bound to be one near your campsite...

Finally, horse riding is an activity not to be forgotten in Brittany.

Leisure parks

Spend a day in the leisure parks O'Fun Park (e.g. Indian Forest) or CeltAventures and complete one of their tree climbing courses, slide on a 180m zip line over the lake during a day at Forêt Adrénaline in Rennes, and discover dinosaurs, extraordinary animals and our ancestors in the Parc de préhistoire de Bretagne.

Aquarium and zoo

Visit Océanopolis in Brest to discover the oceans, admire the marine populations of Aquashow in Audierne, the aquarium of Saint-Malo or the Marinarium of Concarneau.

As for the zoo, make a diversion to the Pont Scorff zoo, the Trégomeur zoological park or the Quinquis animal park.
