Water sports and activities
Did you know that in Brittany, more than 300 campsites are located near a lake or river? Add to that the fact that two-thirds of campsites are located near the sea, and you'll understand that the vast majority of campsites in Brittany have quick access to water, whether fresh or salt, flowing or still, and sometimes even stagnant.
Between the Atlantic Ocean, the English Channel, rivers and streams, lakes, ponds and marshes, your campsite will always be just a few kilometres away from a water activity. Make the most of it!
In Brittany, water sports are legion: sailing, canoeing and kayaking at sea or on rivers, stand-up paddleboarding... But also surfing (there are many surf schools to guide you through your first steps, or rather your first waves) and scuba diving.
It is also possible to try out new water sports. Have you heard of wing foiling (sea kite surfing), paddle stepper (paddleboarding with handlebars), coasteering (canyoning adapted to the coast and seaside), wave skiing (wave kayaking) or kneeboarding (water skiing)?
On the beach, try sand yachting!
Hiking and fresh air
Whichever destination you choose for your camping holiday in Brittany, you're bound to find a magnificent hike where you can enjoy the great Brittany air.
The region is teeming with hiking trails where you can enjoy a day or afternoon of discovery and fresh air. Get some fresh air on the customs officers' trail to the wild ridges of the Armorique Regional Nature Park, in the heart of the Monts d'Arrée. There is bound to be a walk to do near your campsite.
For cycling enthusiasts, discover the nine major cycle routes and greenways. Did you know? Many campsites in Brittany have the Accueil Vélo label.
Finally, horse riding is another activity not to be missed in Brittany.
Leisure parks, aquariums and zoos
Spend a day at the leisure park O’Fun Park (ex Indian Forest) ) or CeltAventures and try one of their tree-top adventure courses, glide 180 metres above the lake on a zip line during a day at Forêt Adrénaline in Rennes, and discover dinosaurs and other extraordinary animals at the Parc de Préhistoire de Bretagne.
Visit Océanopolis in Brest to discover the oceans, admire the marine life at the Aquashow d'Audierne , the Saint-Malo aquarium or the Marinarium in Concarneau.
When it comes to zoos, take a detour to Pont Scorff Zoo, Trégomeur Zoological Park or Quinquis Animal Park.
Activities to enjoy at your campsite in Brittany
You'll never get bored at the campsite! There are lots of activities throughout the day and evening. You can have fun in the campsite's water park, relax in the spa or enjoy a massage, or take part in sports (water sports, fitness, tennis, etc.). Children will have fun at the kids' club, in the campsite's play areas or on the multi-sports grounds. Each water park also has a dedicated water play area for children.
