Utah, Omaha, Gold, Juno, Sword…The beaches of Normandy remind us of that day, June 6th, 1944, when 23, 000 soldiers were parachuted and 135, 000 landed on the beaches to liberate France. The Battle of Normandy lasted 80 days until August 21st, 1944. Some forty museums and places of remembrance still give witness today. An absolute must-see.
