What to see in France

Staying at a campsite in Pornic and its surroundings

On the Jade Coast you will find some of the most beautiful beaches and coves in the Atlantic. Between the Loire estuary and the Bay of Bourgneuf, Pornic offers a guaranteed iodine change of scenery, about 50 km south-west of Nantes and 20 km south of Saint-Nazaire.

Bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, reach the famous seaside resort of Pornic, which vibrates around its port, its Renaissance-style castle and the Noëveillard lighthouse. Ancient sailors' houses and beautiful Belle Epoque style villas nestle in the greenery, on a hill of silvery shale. Here the popularity of sea bathing appeared as early as 1830. Casino, thalasso, 18-hole golf course, are part of the festivities, on either side of the Anse aux Lapins and the Haute Perche canal. Don't miss the flowery and panoramic walk from the customs officers' path. You will be seduced by the play of light that embellishes the intense green of the waves.
