L'Écluse beach is the best known in Dinard. Located right in the town centre, it is the resort’s main beach, with a wide stretch of fine sand and a lively atmosphere in season. It is easily recognisable by its striped beach tents set up in season, which dot the sand and contribute to the area’s distinct ‘seaside resort’ character.

The Prieuré Beach, more sheltered than the Écluse Beach, offers a quieter, family-friendly setting. Situated in a sheltered spot, it allows for a more peaceful swim, with a lovely view of Saint-Malo and its ramparts in the distance.

It is also bordered by the sea wall and lies close to the Clair de Lune promenade, making it easy to extend your seaside stroll in a pleasant, shaded setting.

The town of Dinard has two seawater swimming pools situated by the sea, allowing you to swim in a sheltered setting, whatever the sea conditions.

The first is situated at the foot of the Pointe du Moulinet, a short distance from the Écluse beach. Built in 1928, it was designed to provide a swimming area sheltered from the swell, accessible even when the sea is rough or at low tide.

The second is in Prieuré Bay, on the beach of the same name. Protected by a breakwater and opening onto the Clair de Lune promenade, it offers a calmer environment, particularly popular with families.
