In Haute Savoie this time, in the commune of La Clusaz, the Fernuy **** campsite is ideal to take advantage directly of the ski area offered by the resort. The campsite has a covered and heated swimming pool which you will enjoy in summer and winter, but also free shuttles located 200 metres from the campsite. In the summer, activities such as mountain biking, hiking, summer sledging and paragliding are available.
You stay in Haute Savoie with the campsite Les Iles *** in Passy, a charming mountain village. You are here surrounded by mountains, water and greenery and enjoy a panoramic view of the Mont Blanc massif at 150 metres. You will enjoy the beach and swimming, the lake of Passy in summer with direct access to the lake and the river. A room and a playground are available for children.
The "sea" in the mountains, an incomparable atmosphere
Lake Léman (or Lake Geneva) is of glacial origin, its particularity is that it is situated in Switzerland for its northern part and in France for its southern part. On the French side, there are two spa towns along the lake: Thonon les Bains and Evian les Bains. Numerous beaches are proposed to you to take advantage of the joys of the waterfront like sailing, canoeing, kayaking, diving and of course swimming. Perfect when you are looking for coolness on the sometimes too hot summer days.
Located in Haute-Savoie in the Alps, it is the second lake of glacial origin in France after Le Bourget. It is obviously Lake Annecy! Its main characteristic is undoubtedly its purity, depollution works have indeed been carried out since 1957. A perfectly successful operation since its cleanliness is still in place today, thanks to relentless efforts. On the shores of Lake Annecy, people swim and practice the same water sports as in the sea. Out of the ten or so beaches around the lake, Angon beach, south of Annecy, is a grassy beach where you can find cool spots. Children love it because they can jump in the water. The beach of Albigny is in Annecy le Vieux, it is also a grass beach which has the privilege to be free. You can rent a kayak or a pedal boat and there is food there. The beach of Saint-Jorioz is a family beach, you can choose grass or sand, it is shaded, but less than the one of Angon.
The campsite l'Idéal**** in Lathuille is located 900 metres from Lake Annecy. Here you will find a large water park with 5 slides and 3 paddling pools as well as sports facilities. As its name suggests, ideal for enjoying Annecy and its lake.
To the south-west of Lake Annecy, we offer you the largest natural lake in France (18 km long): Lac du Bourget, near which there are about ten campsites. A post-glacial lake, it is part of the Jura massif. It is undoubtedly the wildest of the four large lakes in the region. Aix-les-Bains, the important city on the shores of lac du Bourget, was awarded the France Station Nautique label almost 20 years ago. For your children, there are a few leisure centres along the lake, as well as beaches for swimming and water sports. A cycle tour of the lake has been set up for sports enthusiasts, easily accessible for the whole family. A hike around the lake is also recommended for those who like to discover the area.

Lake Aiguebelette, situated in the west of Savoie and 10 kilometres from Chambéry, is of natural origin. It is characterised by its emerald colour which gives it a magical power and a peaceful feeling. Whereas the lake of Annecy is rather blue and the lake of Le Bourget steel grey. A private lake, it nevertheless shares its shores with five communes. It is moreover the most modest, and therefore the most confidential of the four lakes of the Mont-Blanc country. Note that boats with combustion engines are forbidden in order to preserve the purity and beauty of its waters.
Holidays in the land of Mont Blanc
In Haute Savoie, at the foot of the highest mountain of the same name in Europe, on the French side, we find this small natural region that is the Mont-Blanc country. It is made up of part of the Arve plain and other natural slopes such as the Mont Blanc massif, the Val d'Arly and the Beaufortain. The sled dog in winter and the "cani-rando" in summer, which consists in being pulled by a Nordic dog, an original activity in an exceptional setting. What better way to discover a fabulous landscape in the middle of nature than traditional hiking? You can marvel at the Mont-Blanc range, visit Cordon, a small village and jewel of Baroque art, and visit a typical Savoyard farm while learning about the alpine fauna and flora. For a thrill, treat yourself to a paragliding flight in Megève from the age of 7, or a hot-air balloon flight in the heart of the Val d'Arly to admire the highest peaks of the Alpine Massif.
