What to see in France

The Aquarium of La Rochelle

The Aquarium de la Rochelle is a place of discovery and learning: a real dive into the heart of the ocean!

Visit the Aquarium of La Rochelle during your camping holiday

Located in the west of France, in Charente-Maritime, its priority is the protection of endangered marine species, such as the leatherback turtle.

The visit to the Aquarium emphasises respect for the aquatic world and its ecosystems. Educational trails are offered to children, with a tunnel at their size to discover the basins. The habitat of the fish and crustaceans is reproduced with respect to their needs. The Aquarium introduces visitors to fish from the French coasts (Atlantic and Mediterranean) and species from warm seas.

Don't miss the shark tank, which is always very impressive. With almost 800,000 visitors per year, it is the second most visited aquarium in France after Marineland in Antibes.
