All Saints' Day holidays: nature, thrills and adventures in Brittany

When autumn arrives, Brest Terres Océanes is transformed into a life-size campground. Here, the All Saints' Day holidays are not limited to trick-or-treating: between mysterious forests, maritime tales, unusual shows and colourful pumpkins, families enjoy a stay combining thrills, discoveries and poetry.

Nature as a campground for adventures

What if the October holidays were spent playing explorers?

In the Lesquelen forest in Plabennec, families follow 10-year-old Naïg on a fun quest punctuated by riddles and mysterious spirits. Each tree becomes a clue, each stone a stage in the adventure: observing, imagining and solving puzzles enable everyone to move forward together.

In Brest, it's a change of scene at the National Botanical Conservatory. This time, mosses are the stars of a large outdoor exhibition. Behind their discreet appearance lies a fascinating history: these tiny plants conquered the land hundreds of millions of years ago. It's an experience that is both scientific and poetic.

Next, head to the Maison des Minéraux in Crozon, the heart of the Armorique Geopark. Here, the landscapes read like a life-size geology textbook. In two hours, teenagers and parents can immerse themselves in 400 million years of history: submerged volcanoes, vanished oceans, erased mountains.

Legends, ghosts and thrills guaranteed

Breton autumn nights echo with spellbinding tales. The bravest will embark with the Fantômes d'Iroise (Ghosts of Iroise) for a sea trip departing from Le Conquet. At nightfall, an enthusiastic guide takes young and old alike into a world where lighthouse keepers, lost sailors and ghost ships cross paths.

Halloween shows for the whole family

In Meneham, Kerlouan, the Ar Vro Bagan theatre company brings "Le vaisseau pirate" (The Pirate Ship) to life, a thrilling adventure played out on a life-size ship. The story of a young orphan girl who boards a ghost ship will captivate young and old alike. The site is also decorated with 3,000 multicoloured pumpkins, creating a magical autumnal atmosphere.

At Océanopolis Brest, make way for poetry with David Wahl's "L'Hommepoisson" (The Fish Man). This unique show combines humour, science and emotion to remind us of our marine origins. A sensitive and surprising interlude.

La Récré des 3 Curés: the haunted amusement park

In Milizac, La Récré des 3 Curés dons its most terrifying attire for Halloween. The paths are filled with witches, ghosts and pumpkins, but it's the haunted house, an abandoned sanatorium, that promises to give you the creeps. Three exceptional night-time events , add to the Halloween atmosphere. Meanwhile, younger visitors can enjoy magical shows suitable for their age group.

Create and share: family art workshops
