🍯 An exceptional product, between tradition and terroir
Honey has accompanied humanity for thousands of years. Once considered a gift from the gods, it continues today to captivate with its richness and diversity.
In Provence, it reveals its full uniqueness: lavender honey, thyme honey, savory honey, or even strawberry tree honey… Each variety expresses a landscape, a season, and a know-how. A true invitation to a taste journey between garrigue and scrubland.
An event to discover, learn, and savor
The Honey Festival is far more than just a market. It’s an immersion into the world of beekeeping, filled with free activities designed to spark curiosity, raise awareness about biodiversity, and pass on precious knowledge.
🐝 A day up close with beekeepers
At the heart of the festival, beekeepers share their daily lives, their skills, and their commitments. Present throughout the day, they offer their products, honey, pollen, propolis, or royal jelly and engage with the public.
Taking part in this event also means supporting a local industry committed to a quality approach, particularly through the Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) “Honey of Provence.”
👀 See, taste, understand
The Honey Festival offers an immersive and interactive discovery:
- Demonstrations of honey extraction to follow the journey of honey
- Observation of a live beehive thanks to the Apimobile
- Tasting workshops to refine your senses
- Thematic talks, including “The Genius of the Bee”
A fun and educational approach to better understand the essential role of bees.
🍽️ Honey goes to the table
Big new feature for 2026: honey-based cuisine takes center stage.
Two major figures of Mediterranean gastronomy will be highlighted:

- Jean Montagard, pioneer of creative vegetarian cuisine
Key moments:
- Talk on honey-based cooking at 3:00 p.m.
- Culinary demonstration at 4:30 p.m.
A great opportunity to rediscover honey as a true ingredient in its own right, as surprising as it is delicious.
🌿A market full of southern flavors
The festival also celebrates the Provençal art of living. Producers and artisans will offer:
Cheeses from the region, lavender-based products, olive oils, tapenades, and craft beers.
And not to be missed:
- Bread baked in a traditional oven
- Free snack for children
- Opportunity to cook your own dish in the village oven
🎭 Activities for the whole family
Both children and adults will find something to enjoy through a wide range of activities:
Pollen hunts, creative workshops, treasure hunts, theatre, and even an immersive experience into a beekeeper’s daily life with “Find the Queen!”
All in a festive atmosphere filled with street performances and entertainment.
🌼 A precious industry to preserve
Behind every jar of honey lies a strong commitment.
In the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region, beekeeping represents:
- 4,500 beekeepers
- Nearly 189,000 hives
- Around 2,000 tons of honey produced each year
A dynamic industry, essential for biodiversity and the preservation of landscapes.
