Campsites with slides throughout France
Whether you choose the Atlantic coast, the Mediterranean, Corsica or inland France, you will easily find campsites with water parks and slides. From small, family-friendly campsites to large 5-star complexes, there is a wide range of options to suit everyone.
At many campsites in France, water parks now rival those of large leisure complexes. They feature huge swimming pools, heated pools and, above all, spectacular slides that delight holidaymakers of all ages. Whether you're looking for pure adrenaline, family fun or your little ones' first slides, there's something for everyone with such a wide variety of water slides on offer.
Slides for thrill seekers
The Kamikaze
The Kamikaze is one of the most impressive slides: a steep slope that gives you the sensation of plunging into the void before arriving in the pool. Thrill seekers can try it out at Les Mimosas***** campsite in Portiragnes, for example, or at La Palmeraie**** campsite in Torreilles.
The Space Bowl, Space Hole and Firebowl
Spectacular and fun, the Space Bowl offers a two-stage descent: a fast spiral followed by a giant bowl where you spin around before falling into the water. Among the (many) campsites that have one are: Les Menhirs***** in Carnac, Parc de la Grenouillère**** in Suèvres and Les Grosses Pierres***** on the island of Oléron. The Domaine de Léveno**** campsite in Loire-Atlantique and Le Trianon***** in Les Sables-d'Olonne offer an even more intense version with a Space Hole.
In Le Grau-du-Roi, the L'Elysée*** campsite has chosen to install a spectacular Firebowl, an even more visual version of the Space Bowl.
The Rift
In Longeville-sur-Mer, Les Brunelles***** campsite has opted for a Rift, a 12-metre-high slide that you descend on a rubber ring for guaranteed thrills. With its dynamic descent and splashy finish, it promises unforgettable moments of fun.
Looping slide
A slide reserved for the most daring, with a starting trapdoor that opens under your feet and an almost vertical descent before an impressive loop. It can be found at the Les Mimosas***** campsite in Portiragnes, in the Hérault region.
Crazy Cone
The crazy cone ends with a huge conical funnel where you spin around several times before plunging into the final pool. You can enjoy it at Paradis de Bazas**** campsite, Les Dauphins Bleus***** campsite in Givrand or Le Domaine de Zéphir**** campsite in Les Mathes, for example.
Slides to share with the family
The Half-pipe / tsunami slide
The Half-Pipe is a half-tube-shaped slide where you slide down on a tube, going back and forth on the sloping ramp before arriving in the pool. You can try it out at the Le Moulin de Cadillac**** campsite in Noyal-Muzillac.
Giant tube slides (Raft Slide)
Raft Slides extend the ride with wide turns and slow sections that focus on sharing and fun rather than raw speed. These facilities, perfect for families and pairs, are well represented at La Riviera**** campsite in Saint-Michel-Chef-Chef and Les Chênes de Médis**** campsite.
The favourite playground for children and teenagers
Multi-lane slides/Pentagliss
The Pentagliss is a multi-lane slide designed for fun competitions: several parallel lanes allow you to challenge each other on the same descent. This attraction, which is very popular with teenagers and families, can be found at the Village Resort & Spa Le Vieux Port***** in Messanges, the Le Fief***** campsite in Saint-Brévin-les-Pins and the Mané Guernehué***** campsite in Baden.
Closed spiral / Tube (Aquatube / Twister)
Here, the descent takes place in a closed tube (either completely or partially), sometimes plunged into darkness for an even more intense experience. You can try them out at Les Prises**** campsite in La Tranche-sur-Mer or at Riez à la Vie**** campsite in Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez, where the aquatube in the water park offers fast turns and a sustained slide.
Twisting slides (Twister/Anaconda)
These long, winding outdoor slides offer a prolonged descent full of twists, turns and thrills. You'll find them at many campsites, such as Soleil de Provence**** in Saint-Romain-en-Viennois and Pachacaïd**** in La Môle.
Wave slide
The Wave Slide is a slide with a wavy surface that bounces riders for a fun and dynamic descent, suitable for both children and adults.
First slides for children
Colourful mini slides
Most family campsites have paddling pools with small colourful slides, designed to introduce children to the joys of sliding, such as here at Le Flamenco*** in Argelès-sur-Mer.
Water play areas
More and more campsites are offering themed play areas where little ones can enjoy mini slides that are perfectly suited to their age.
