A botanical immersion in the four corners of the world
Throughout the year, Terra Botanica takes you on a journey without leaving Anjou:
- Great explorations: Discover thousands of exotic plants in one of Europe's largest tropical greenhouses. From the Amazon to New Zealand, via Vietnam, the diversity of life is magnificently represented here.
- Adventure in the Bayou – New immersive area 2025: A 2,000 m² experience in the heart of the Louisiana swamps. Among realistic wildlife (alligators, raccoons, etc.) and typical bayou flora, visitors follow an interactive trail combining challenges, treasure hunts and surprising encounters, notably with Mama Pepper, the swamp witch.
- The Origins of Life: Return to the Primary Era, where the first plants grew alongside... dinosaurs! Delve into the mysteries of life through an astonishing journey.
- Unusual plants: A spectacular world where carnivorous plants, extreme climates and mysterious greenhouses (mist and cold) offer a fun and scientific exploration.
- Escapade en Anjou: A boat trip through a rose garden and a landscape inspired by the horticultural heritage of Anjou.
- The Mysteries of the Forest: A 7,000 m² sensory journey, with a one-kilometre trail where augmented reality allows you to discover 600 species of birds found in France, such as the kingfisher and the goldfinch.
From 4 October to 2 November: the Autumn Festival – 10th special edition celebrating 15 years!
A park transformed for the occasion
Terra Botanica is thinking big for its 15th anniversary! During twenty days of festivities, on the weekends of 4-5 and 11-12 October, then every day during the All Saints' Day holidays (from 18 October to 2 November), the park will be decked out in its finest autumn finery:
- A giant 5-metre birthday cake in the centre of the park, surrounded by a merry band of skeletons.
- A monumental arch at the entrance, decorated with giant pumpkins, gifts and banners under the banner "Happy Birthday".
- The iconic decorations from 2024 are back: the witch and her cauldron, Dracula, the pumpkin carriage, the mushroom house, Mother Nature...
- New: the Garden of Gifts, where macabre humour is incorporated into the staging.
Plant-themed activities and shows for the whole family 🍂
Throughout the park, scenes and entertainment immerse young and old alike in a festive plant-filled world:
- Birthday banquet for the revenants in the Mysteries of the Forest.
- Autumn sailing on the barges of the Botanical Odyssey.
- Cucurbithèque (500 kg of squash) and Pommothèque (300 kg of apples) showcase the flavours and colours of the season.
- Creative and sensory activities: mask painting, temporary tattoos, making plant-based slime, autumn leaf animals, blind tastings of seasonal vegetables/plants.
- Storytelling tour on a miniature train, giant straw bale maze, fun competitions (guess the weight of the pumpkin, hidden cake, sweets in a jar).
Daily shows and 4D cinema
- The shows "Le Potager Explosif" and "Le Labo Magique" are back in a new version.
- The 4D cinema is showing Dracula, for a thrilling immersion.
- And every day, two brand new music hall shows, created in partnership with the Institut National du Music-hall (INM) in Le Mans:
- "La Fabrique du Vent" (The Wind Factory): a 15-minute interactive show combining song, dance, magic, acrobatics and Cyr wheel, presented twice a day.
- "Le Cœur de Nyrrha" (The Heart of Nyrrha): a 25-minute poetic performance in the evening, featuring the protective spirit of the planet, just before Terra Nocta.
Every evening: Terra Nocta, a nocturnal plant fairy tale ✨
At nightfall, prolong the wonder with Terra Nocta, an immersive hour-long stroll through the park's illuminated gardens and forests. A magical and contemplative moment to enjoy with the family, amid shadows, lights, music and poetry.
