What to see in France

Puy du Fou: for fans of giant-sized spectacle

An hour away from Nantes, near the town of Epesses in Vendée, Puy du Fou is a historic theme park and shouldn’t be missed during your holiday.

Discover the Puy du Fou during your camping holiday

People come, first of all, for the wonderful spectacle. Romans, Vikings, musketeers and knights perform a series combats with impressive special effects. With your family, you can walk through decors featuring castles and circus games. You feel as if you are in an adventure film. You will see the famous Cinéscénie, a show with local volunteers as actors. It takes place on Friday and/or Saturday evening and recalls the life of peasants and royalists in Vendée during the Middle Ages. Puy du Fou also features 50 hectares of forest where you can relax before the evening shows.

This is, in fact, the most popular theme park in Europe, alongside Disneyland Paris©, and also one of the few to have been awarded such a wide range of special awards.
