Benedictine Palace of Fécamp

At the end of the 19th century, the Benedictine Palace was built for Alexandre Legrand, a wealthy spirits merchant, inventor of the Benedictine liqueur and a great art lover.

Visit the Benedictine Palace in Fécamp during your camping holiday

Located in Fécamp in Normandy and in the Seine Maritime department, the palace was built between 1882 and 1888, but destroyed by fire in 1892, it was entirely rebuilt in its current form, which combines art and industry, tradition and innovation. Between Gothic, Art Nouveau and Neo-Renaissance styles, the interior immerses the visitor in a very elaborate décor: woodwork, sculpted frameworks and luxurious furniture... The palace also houses a distillery open to the public, where the famous liqueur is produced, and a museum tracing the history of the place and an art gallery. There is also a contemporary art gallery, which was created some twenty years ago. On the ground floor, there is a bar where you can taste the products and a shop where you can buy them.
