Jean-Henri Fabre, the father of modern entomology, created Micropolis, the City of Insects, to share his passion for the "people of the grass" with the public.

Discover Micropolis during your camping holiday

After the success of the film Microcosmos, this dream came true in his hometown, in Saint-Léons, in a park unique in Europe, for an unforgettable day to discover insects.

The discovery area allows visitors to relive scenes from Microcosmos, to play with their families and to prepare scientific excursions in an experimental station. Visitors can observe numerous specimens, including 70 species of living insects and carnivorous plants, and enjoy several interactive exhibits as well as two 3D films to understand everything about the "world of the infinitely small". A media library is available to the public to complete this full programme. During the summer, Micropolis offers you the opportunity to enter a local butterfly greenhouse and to enjoy exceptional events during all school holidays.
