Visit the castle of Castelnaud during your camping holiday
The castle of Castelnaud-la-Chapelle is opposite the castle of Beynac, with which it was in conflict during the 100 Years War. A first castle was destroyed during the Albigensian crusade, then rebuilt in the 13th century. Models, audio-visual equipment and reproductions of artillery pieces are on display in the castle museum. They show the means of attack and defence that existed in medieval times. You can also visit the remains of the 13th century keep and the 14th century tower.
