What to see in France

Ramparts of Saint-Malo

Completed in the 14th century, the ramparts of Saint-Malo offer visitors a beautiful walk around the walled city.

Explore the ramparts of Saint-Malo during your camping holiday

You will discover the covered way, the watchtowers and the castle. And you pass through the old city gates - Dinan, Saint-Louis - which once controlled access to the city. All that remains today is the 15th-century Grand'Porte and part of the Petits Murs of the Bidouane tower, while the rest of the wall was rebuilt in the 18th century. The ramparts of Saint-Malo were spared by the American bombardments in 1944 and then classified as Historic Monuments in 1986.

It takes about an hour to walk around the entire ramparts. Stairs and ramps at each gate allow you to go up or down as you wish. To see the city from a different angle, you can also walk along the same ramparts below from the beach. An opportunity to discover other details.
