What to see in France

Rennes Science Centre

Created in 1984, the Espace des Sciences, located in Rennes in Ille-et-Vilaine, is a regional centre for scientific, technical and industrial culture.

Its aim is to make the world of experiments and great discoveries accessible. The playfulness of the explanations, the modernity of the equipment and the possibility of taking part in the experiments facilitate the approach to fields often perceived as complicated. At the Espace des Sciences, it is certain that you learn while having fun. It is the second largest Science Centre in France after the Palais de la Découverte. It has a planetarium as well as three exhibition rooms in which conferences, educational activities and events are organised.

In 2022, the exhibition programme will include Merlin's Laboratory (30 modules in a Jules Verne-style world to discover science), Incredible Brain and the Living Clocks (to analyse biological rhythms).
