Visit the Chagall museum during your camping holiday

The Marc Chagall National Museum in Nice, created during his lifetime, was born of the painter's desire to bring together in one place the seventeen paintings he made on the Bible. To deliver his message: through art and spirituality, men can find peace and give meaning to their lives, "an ideal of brotherhood and love". Built in 1966, the museum has evolved into the painter's theologically inspired work. It was supported by André Malraux, a friend of the artist and Minister of Cultural Affairs at the time. The Marc Chagall National Museum is now the most comprehensive museum devoted to the artist's work. Sculpture is also part of Chagall's work. Although less well known to the general public, he produced around a hundred sculptures on the themes of love, animals and religion.
