Visit Mont Saint-Michel during your camping holiday

This 92-metre-high rock stands in the middle of a bay, the bay of Mont-Saint-Michel, with the highest tides in Europe (with up to 15 metres difference between low and high tide!). At high tide, the one that was called "Mont Saint-Michel at the risk of the sea" in the Middle Ages, becomes an island.

A place of natural beauty, the Mont is consecrated to the Archangel Saint Michael and has many architectural treasures. In particular, the abbey of Mont-Saint-Michel, built between the 11th and the 15th century, and combining Romanesque and Gothic styles.

The architecture of Mont-Saint-Michel and its bay make it the most visited tourist site in Normandy, with almost 2.5 million visitors in 2019. Mont Saint-Michel is the fourth most visited cultural tourist site in France, after the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower and the Château de Versailles.
