The Rapido Camping-Car Club, an affiliated club, is organizing an exceptional 3,400 km journey from August 29 to September 19, 2026, across some of China’s most iconic sites.
The adventure begins in Beijing, a vibrant capital and the country’s second-largest city. The streets buzz with life, and the imposing Forbidden City immerses you in millennia of history.
From there, the route leads to Datong, an old mining town. Its carved caves and ancient temples reveal a fascinating past, far from the bustle of modern cities. Next, the journey continues to Pingyao, a perfectly preserved medieval town. Strolling through its fortified streets is like stepping back in time.
The adventure then heads to Xi’an, where the famous Terracotta Army awaits curious travelers. Each figure seems to tell its own story, while time appears to stand still around the city walls. The journey continues to the Shaolin Monastery, the birthplace of martial arts, where discipline and spirituality merge in a unique setting.
Finally, the winding roads of Guoliang offer breathtaking views: sheer cliffs, tunnels carved into the rock, and panoramas that seem to reach the sky.
Throughout the trip, participants are accompanied 24/7 by a French-speaking guide and an assistance vehicle, ensuring a secure yet liberating experience. This 3,400 km journey, organized by the R3CF in partnership with CTS-Voyages, is designed for motorhome enthusiasts seeking a blend of adventure, culture, and camaraderie.
Each stop is a discovery, each break an immersion in local cuisine, traditions, and daily life. On board, meeting fellow travelers transforms the trip into a truly human and friendly experience.
