What is the history of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat?
Nestling on the Côte d'Azur between Nice and Monaco, Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat has a rich history dating back to ancient times, when the Greeks and Romans docked here. For a long time a simple fishing village attached to Villefranche-sur-Mer, the peninsula experienced a turning point at the end of the 19th century. It attracted the European aristocracy, particularly Belgians, British and Russians, who built sumptuous villas here. One of the most famous is the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild. Since then, the hamlet has retained its discreet charm, becoming a popular holiday destination for its tranquillity, Mediterranean landscapes and luxurious yet unspoilt atmosphere.

The Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat, an emblematic luxury hotel managed by Four Seasons, overlooks the Mediterranean from a 7-hectare estate planted with trees.
