What to see in France

Exotic Garden of Monaco

On the cliffside, the exotic garden of Monaco overlooks the sea in an exceptional setting, offering a splendid view of the French and Italian Rivieras.

Discover the Exotic Garden of Monaco during your camping holiday

The garden brings together numerous plant species from the United States, Central and South America, South Africa and the Arabian Peninsula. These include so-called "succulents", which are adapted to dry climates and can grow to several metres in height, such as cacti and agaves. These families bloom regularly, adorning the garden with large, colourful flowers all year round. The entrance ticket includes a visit to the Observatory Cave, a natural cavity with beautiful stalagmite and stalactite formations, columns and draperies of crystallised rock, as well as the Museum of Anthropology. Founded in 1902 by Prince Albert I, the latter exhibits prehistoric remains from the surroundings of Monaco, and retraces the main phases of the evolution of Man, from Australopithecus to Homo sapiens.
