The Pilat Dune, to the south of the Arcachon Basin in Gironde and in the Aquitaine region, is the highest dune in Europe. A million people travel to the top each year. If you want to climb up the Pilat Dune and admire the amazing view from the top, there are six campsites in Teste as well as sites open all year round in Gujan-Mestras, Salles and Mios.
