At the foot of the Pyrenees, Béarn is next to Pays Basque (Basque Country), Spain and the Landes. The fortified towns, ramparts and medieval towns of Orthez and Sauveterre are reminders of this region’s history. Lescar near Pau, Béarn’s flagship town, has a three-star campsite open all year round, and another in Ousse. There are also three campsites in Oloron-Sainte-Marie, Orthez and Navarrenx.
