The finest fireworks in Northern France

Paris: Illumination of the Eiffel Tower

Let's start with Paris's most famous landmark, the Eiffel Tower. As every year, from 11pm onwards, an explosion of lights will sweep across the skies of the capital. This year's theme is "Couleurs Créoles - Terres de partage", and over 500,000 people are expected to attend. In addition, a grand symphony concert will be held at the foot of the Iron Lady from 9.15pm. Access to the Champs-de-Mars will be free without reservation, but plan ahead. As the roads in the vicinity are blocked for security reasons, we advise you to leave your vehicle in the suburbs and reach the Eiffel Tower by public transport. Please note that many metro stations will be closed after 7pm.

Versailles: The Great Night Waters

A sound, light and fireworks show awaits you at the Château de Versailles. Come and stroll through the sumptuous formal gardens of the Sun King's splendid residence. Take a magical stroll through the fountains, lit up for the occasion to the rhythm of baroque music that will take you back through the centuries. To round off your evening, a splendid fireworks show by Groupe F will dazzle young and old alike.

Annecy: The Venice of the Alpes

Haute-Savoie and its pristine lake surrounded by mountains provide a magical backdrop for a fireworks display from the Esplanade du Pâquier. Once night falls, the mountain sky lights up above the lake to enchant all. Musical entertainment, brass bands, merry-go-rounds and more await you. Enchanting fun for young and old alike!

Lyon: City of Light

Its fireworks display on 14 July, fired at 10.30pm, features the magnificent building of the Notre-Dame de Fourvière Basilica, which overlooks the Saône at the top of the hill of the same name, and offers views and lighting effects that leave no one indifferent! A 25-minute pyrotechnic extravaganza in seven two-minute scenes.

Cannes: Pyrotechnic Art Festival

Every summer, the bay of Cannes plays host to one of the world's most prestigious pyrotechnics festivals. The greatest pyrotechnicians from all over the world come to rival each other in musical splendour to offer you grandiose shows. Join us on 14 July at the water's edge to enjoy a skilfully orchestrated show that lights up the bay with a thousand fires. Admire the fireworks from Le Suquet, the old village of Cannes. This pyrotechnic festival takes place from 14 July to 24 August 2022.

Nîmes: The beautiful Roman city

The charming town of Nîmes is famous for its military bases. So, of course, you can't miss 14 July! The military parade starts at 11am. But the highlight of the day is the traditional fireworks display in the Jardins de la Fontaine at 10.30pm. You'll see that the charm of this town and its famous arenas is multiplied tenfold under an avalanche of lights.

Toulouse: The pink city

At around 10.30pm, the beautiful city of Occitanie invites you to discover its fireworks display on the musical theme of rugby, as part of the World Cup. Fired from around twenty rafts moored in the middle of the Garonne, the Toulouse fireworks display will offer an exceptional display of lights, to be seen at 360°. A grand concert on the Prairie des Filtres awaits you, with the festivities starting at 6.30pm.

Carcassonne: The medieval city goes up in flames

The magnificent fortified town of Carcassonne invites you to the banks of the River Aude to watch the magnificent city go up in flames. The theme is "Cité stellaire", celebrating the fiftieth anniversary of the first Ariane rocket. A unique and grandiose spectacle! Golden rain, butterflies and whirlwinds, hearts and smileys, palm trees, stroboscopic stars and much more await you. The ramparts are lit up with new hues to create a ballet of exceptional colours.

Étretat: The illuminated cliffs

This natural environment is the setting for its fireworks display on 13 July. Fired from the beach, the fireworks set the sky ablaze, reflecting off both the ocean and the chalk cliffs to create a multi-coloured explosion! Make the most of the local atmosphere and join the many tourists and Normans who take a picnic with them to admire the spectacle from above. In the early evening, a torchlight procession is organised by the tourist office.

La Baule: The Côte of Love

A trendy and welcoming seaside resort, Mesquer offers locals and visitors alike a superb fireworks display on 15 July. In Mesquer, the same evening at the port of Kercabellec, an evening of mussels and chips will accompany the fireworks.
