9 "green" campsites - Normandy
If you're all about ecology and protecting the environment or you're a regular eco-tourist, check the campsite you want to stay in is approved as "green" by one of these two labels: the Green Key and Ecolabel are international eco-tourism labels exclusively for green accommodation such as hotels, holiday homes and B&Bs. Campsites have to meet certain criteria and implement an in-depth environmental policy to be awarded the Ecolabel and Green Key. Establishments have to monitor water, energy and waste management and must provide environmental information to their guests. Campsite owners must also make a real effort to improve their sites e.g. by creating more green spaces and regulating motor vehicle traffic.
