The Crocodile Farm in Pierrelatte is a huge tropical greenhouse of 8000 m². Make the most of your camping holiday in the Drôme to discover it!

Discover the Crocodile Farm during your camping holiday

During your visit, you will be totally immersed in the heart of a lush biodiversity: La Ferme aux Crocodiles animal park is home to nine different species and over 600 animals in semi-liberty, giant Seychelles and Galapagos tortoises, tropical fish and birds, as well as over 600 exotic plant species.

The inhabitants of the Farm are discovered by means of paths that overlook the ponds or pass underneath them, allowing visitors to see the white bellies of the crocodiles. Australian crocodiles, Mississippi alligators, Guiana black caimans and Ganges gavials, more than 400 specimens represent the crocodilidae family here, some of which are up to six metres long! Specialised guides speaking several languages and explanatory panels will teach you all about the way of life of these animals which have existed for 65 million years.

Finally, don't forget to visit the nursery, where you can observe baby reptiles: crocodiles, lizards, turtles, pythons, birds...

Practical information:

The Crocodile Farm is open all year round 7 days a week and on public holidays. Annual closure from 5 to 18 January.

Opening hours: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. from March to June and from September to October, 9.30 a.m. to 5 p.m. in July and August and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. from November to February.

Prices 2022 : adult (from 13 years old): €18.5 (€17.5 on site), children from 3 to 12 years old: €12.5 (€11.5 on site), children under 3: free.
