Eyrignac and its Gardens: A Gem of the Périgord Noir
Just 13 kilometers from Sarlat, the Manoir d’Eyrignac Gardens offer an exceptional setting, recognized as one of the finest examples of topiary art in France. Classified as 17th- and 18th-century historic monuments, they stretch across 10 hectares of meticulously sculpted greenery, within a 200-hectare forested estate.
Fountains, manicured lawns, a white rose garden, and more than 300 hand-crafted plant sculptures make it a must-see destination for lovers of heritage and nature alike. A place for both strolling and discovery, Eyrignac delights visitors year-round with the elegance of its gardens and the variety of its spaces.
The Carabosse Challenge: A Bewitching Adventure
Among the main attractions, a large treasure hunt turns the visit into an enchanting quest. Along the paths lined with sculpted topiaries, visitors follow clues and challenges, creating a walk filled with surprises. This adventure is included with admission and promises a moment of family bonding, blending suspense and poetry.
The “Frousse” Workshop: Creativity and Fun
During the school holidays, the Orangery transforms into a creative workshop where children can let their imagination run wild. The challenge? To create the scariest or funniest work possible in a friendly and festive atmosphere. Also included with the visit, this workshop mixes laughter, creativity, and gentle thrills.
Costumes and a Magical Atmosphere
To enhance the experience, children are encouraged to come in costume. Wizards, ghosts, or mysterious princesses blend perfectly into the garden’s scenery, offering unique photo memories in the heart of Eyrignac.

Halloween doesn’t overshadow the cultural and educational aspects of the gardens. Two weekly highlights enrich the program:
Unusual and theatrical tours on Tuesdays, revealing botanical secrets and historical anecdotes.
