Grand Tourmalet

To finish this overview, it was impossible to forget the Pyrenees. The Grand Tourmalet is the grouping of two villages, Barèges and La Mongie. In the Hautes-Pyrénées on the border with Spain, this resort has nothing to envy to the Alpine mountains. It offers 100 km of slopes situated between 1400 and 2500 metres of altitude, modern and comfortable infrastructures and diversified activities: surfing, cross-country skiing and other snowshoeing excursions but also dog sledding and even horse riding... In short, certainly one of the best resorts in the Pyrenees.
