The map of France's holiday zones changed in summer 2015. They have been drawn according to the redrawing of the large regions.

The new holiday zones

The three new zones are:

Zone A will include the academies of Besançon, Bordeaux, Clermont-Ferrand, Dijon, Grenoble, Limoges, Lyon and Poitiers.

Zone B will include the academies of Aix-Marseille, Amiens, Caen, Lille, Nancy-Metz, Nantes, Nice, Orléans-Tours, Reims, Rennes, Rouen and Strasbourg.

Zone C will include the academies of Créteil, Montpellier, Paris, Toulouse and Versailles.

Leave by zone

In France, pupils and students have several holidays in common, regardless of their zone: the All Saints' holiday, the Christmas holiday and of course the summer holiday! For the organisation of camping holidays, it is ideal if you want to bring together the family living all over France.

On the other hand, for the winter and spring holidays, it is not easy to go camping with friends or cousins belonging to another holiday zone: in fact, in 2022 for example, the school holidays for Zone A (winter and spring) start first, one week before Zone B and another week before Zone C!
