Bagnoles-de-l'Orne, situated in the middle of the Andaine forest, is a charming spa town nestled in a green setting and renowned for its healing waters. The whole town, with its Belle Epoque and Art Deco architecture, is organised around its magnificent lake with its flowery borders, where the walks are calm and soothing.

Classified as one of the most beautiful villages in France, Saint-Céneri-le-Gérei is nestled in the Normandy-Maine Regional Nature Park. The superb stone houses, the bridge which dominates a bend in the Sarthe and the Romanesque church which houses superb old frescos give it a charming ensemble which will not leave you indifferent.

Also in the Normandy-Maine Regional Nature Park, the superb 14th and 17th century castle of Carrouges is made of brick and its roof of slate granite. It is surrounded by a moat and the interior is splendidly decorated in Renaissance style, including the main staircase. Don't leave without a stroll through the 10-hectare park, complete with flower gardens, orchard and 17th-century wrought iron gates. Nightly candlelight tours are available in the summer.

The Roche d'Oëtre is a listed site, perfect for a hike, and is one of the highlights of the Orne and the Suisse Normande. You can admire the rock with its human profile by taking a path that will lead you to the lower terrace. From the rock you can enjoy a magnificent panoramic view of the entire Rouvre valley. The site offers cow and pony rides as well as a trail in the trees. A lovely walk for the whole family.
