What to see in France

Peaugres Safari

The 80-hectare Peaugres Safari, located in the Ardèche in the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes region, offers the opportunity to observe over 1,200 animals belonging to 135 different species.

Visit the Peaugres Safari during your camping holiday

Opened in 1974 by the de la Panouse family, which also owns the Thoiry Zoological Park in the Ile-de-France, visitors can admire wildcats, elephants, hippos and other savannah animals from the safety of their own vehicle during a 5 km safari.

The other half of the park can be explored on foot, along paths where you can observe the animals in huge enclosures. Sea lions, bears, snakes and monkeys are also on the programme. The park is hilly and gives the impression of being in the middle of nature. It is the perfect setting to enjoy a real safari. The park has recently welcomed the world's smallest monkeys. They live in a lush 450 m2 greenhouse, so come to the Land of the Minus to meet them!

Discover what's new in 2022: the new sea lion bay and the playground at Léonie's Farm.
